Texte : Together with the celebration of European Film Awards 20th birthday, the European Film Academy has rewarded European actors, directors, production designers and directors of photography in Berlin, on December 1st, 2007.
The European Film 2007 is 4 luni, 3 saptamini si 2 zile, 4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days, directed by Cristian Mungiu and produced by Mobra Film SRL, already “Palme d’or” in 2007 Cannes Festival. Moreover, Cristian Mungiu is the European Director 2007. Helen Mirren has been awarded European Actress 2007 for her outstanding performance in The Queen by Stephen Frears. French music composer, Alexandre Desplat was awarded European composer 2007 as well for The Queen. The European Actor 2007 is Sasson Gabai in Bikur Hatizmoret, The Band’s visit, a film by Eran Kolirin, Israel, who was also awarded European discovery 2007. Das Parfum – Die Geschichte eines Mörders, Perfume : The story of a murderer has been awarded twice : the European Cinematographer 2007 is Frank Griebe and Uli Hanisch received the European Film Academy Prix d’excellence 2007 for his production design of Das Parfum. Alain Resnais was awarded the European film Academy Critics Award 2007 for Coeurs. The European Film Academy Lifetime Achievement Award went to Jean-Luc Godard. The ARTE Award – European film Academy Documentary 2007 - rewarded Rithy Panh for Le papier ne peut pas envelopper la braise, Paper cannot wrap up embers. The Honorary Award presented by the European Film Academy on the occasion of the 20th European Film Awards, went to Manoel de Oliveira. Director of photography Michael Ballhaus received the European Achievement in World Cinema 2007 – Screen International Award - for his outstanding carreer in the United States of America and in Europe.
